After two weeks of rain our cover was holding far more water than I was comfortable with. This automatic pool cover pump sorted it without me having to siphon anything by hand, and the included hose was long enough to run straight to the drain.
Delivery was quick and the full kit made setup simple. I liked that the four adapters were included because I did not need to order extra fittings to get the submersible pool cover pump working in the garden.
I wanted something more purpose-built than the generic utility pump I had before. The automatic shutoff is the main difference in day-to-day use, and it is much better for keeping standing water off our seasonal pool cover.
It drains quickly and feels well made for the price. My only criticism is that you do need to think about where your outdoor power source is, but once set up the 1200 GPH flow makes short work of pooled rainwater.
